This is rattan bark from the rattan material handled by Konishi Rattan, and is a rattan skin peel based on pear rattan (round rattan).

This material is mainly used in Europe and America, and is softer than regular rattan skin peel, making it ideal for creating works that make use of the curves of the bag, etc. 
Because it is machine milled, it is thin and easy to knit.
