Product Information
Bark rattan is a material made by splitting and sawing glossy rattan (round rattan) and adjusting only the bark to a uniform width and thickness.
It is characterized by the natural patterns and luster that are unique to bark rattan, and is used to make a variety of tools, including Japanese musical instruments such as the shinobue (bamboo flute), shakuhachi (shakuhachi flute), and hichiriki (Japanese flute), fishing rods for crucian carp, kyudo (Japanese archery) equipment such as bows, quivers, and string winders, and Japanese swords.
This is a high-quality material, each piece ground by craftsmen in Japan.
Each piece is 1m to 5m long.
Please order no more than 20m.
The widths available are 2 rin, 3 rin, 4 rin, 5 rin, and 6 rin.
